In the spiritual cycle of the Wu Xing, earth controls the water by damming and absorbing it. It’s also produced by the fire’s ashes to further solidify its minerals and feed the beginning of the cycle. This package symbolizes the beginning in helping you heal. You are here to “absorb” the Earth’s elements to develop a strong and rooted foundation as to who you are. It is then up to you to use this new found advice about your body, mind and spirit to further mold into the necessary shape to begin your healing.
This package is also tied to the Wu Xing. It is roughly translated to “moving”. Water is known for two cycles - a generating or creation cycle and overcoming or destruction cycle. This is what’s applied here. You know what the start or beginning has brought you. This is where you decide if we generate/create/grow/promote on what we previously learned within the Earth Package or where you decide to weaken/drain/diminish/exhaust the desire that was lit within the last sessions.
This is where we change gears and increase the intensity level. From our friends the Chinese and the Wu Xing, we turn to the Greek-based Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. Air symbolizes more than a cleansing and basic transformation found in the previous packages. It represents our mindset and active thoughts. Air can be both hot/cold and dry/wet represented by the clearest and purest thoughts to the darkest and depressive ones. This illustrates the mind’s ability to create and shape the immediate future. The Air Package is meant to help those of you who want to reduce the white noise in your lives to change/shift/convert to better understand yourself to better suit your environment. It is also meant to help diminish all outside influences to a single substance - your chi or life force.
Finally, Fire. Fire symbolizes action and passion. Everything that touches fire is changed, pointing towards transformation. This also has a duality to it - creation and light on one hand and destruction and purification in the other. This package is for those of you who desire a complete breakdown of your fears and limitations to emerge as a Phoenix from the ashes: your new self. We become that which we have planted.
